Great North American Solar Eclipse

Experience the Solar Eclipse at Chautauqua Lake

April 8, 2024.

A total solar eclipse occurs when the new Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, and totally blocks out the Sun. This is a rare occurrence and spectacular to observe. You’re next opportunity to witness a total solar eclipse in North America is coming on April 8, 2024.

The Chautauqua Harbor Hotel is located along what is known as the “path of totality.” This means that the venue is aligned in the path of the Moon’s shadow as it passes between Earth and the Sun, offering the perfect location to experience the full visual effects of this breath-taking sight.

To celebrate this event, the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel will be offering a Great North American Solar Eclipse Package which includes double accommodations with a Sunday check-in, keepsake blankets, a champagne toast and snacks while viewing the eclipse on Monday, and dinner for two.

This upcoming solar eclipse will be the last one visible from the US in decades!
